  • Please remember to sign your child(ren) in and out at drop-off and pick-up.
  • No food will be given to children, but your child may bring a water bottle.
  • If potty trained, please encourage your child to use the potty before drop-off.

Sunday Worship Services Moved Outdoors https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/sunday-worship-services-moved-outdoors https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/sunday-worship-services-moved-outdoors#comments Fri, 31 Dec 2021 00:00:00 -0800 https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/sunday-worship-services-moved-outdoors Due to the rising transmission rates and positive cases of COVID-19 both nationally and locally, we will be moving our services back outdoors in an effort to help love and protect the congregation. The elders will be evaluating the situation weekly, but for now our services will remain outdoors indefinitely. A copy of FBC’s updated Covid protocols is available here, and is also available on the Church Center app – please review it and stay home if you have any symptoms.

A few things to note for our outdoor services:

  • There will be some seating available, but we encourage you to bring your own chairs.
  • Please continue to wear a mask while on church property.
  • A livestream of the service will be available online, but we will not be streaming in the donut room.
  • A digital copy of the bulletin will be emailed prior to service - there will be no physical copies available.

Lastly, we will be taking the Lord's Supper this Sunday after service, so please remember to pick up the elements on your way in at the Welcome Table.

FAQ

Q: Will there be any social distancing measures?

  1. No, as the State of California has dropped all social distancing requirements on June 15th.
  2. A loving question to ask when talking to others before or after service: “Are you okay with my current distance?” This question and awareness gives the opportunity for you to serve the other person rather than assuming the other person has the same social distancing comfort as you.

Q: Are masks required?

  1. Vaccinated individuals do not have to wear masks, but feel free to do so.
  2. In seeking to love one another, the elders encourage and recommend unvaccinated individuals to continue to wear marks to protect themselves and others.

Q: Where should I sit?

  1. INSIDE:
    1. If you feel comfortable, feel free to sit inside.
    2. We are reserving the south wing, also known as the fellowship hall, or where we would eat for evening service for families with kids to give them more space.
  2. OUTSIDE:
    1. If you feel more comfortable outside, we will be reserving parking spots and canopies near the basketball hoop.
    2.  Please continue to bring your own chairs and tents.
    3.  Church will continue to provide canopies and metal chairs are available as well.

Q: Is help still needed for set up next week?

For next week (June 27th), please arrive as early as 9:00am if you can to help set up the sanctuary, and canopies.

Q: Where should I park?

The parking lot is available; please park in the non-red square areas.

Fall 2020 Small Groups Announced https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/small-groups-for-the-fall https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/small-groups-for-the-fall#comments Sun, 13 Sep 2020 15:00:00 -0700 https://www.fbchaciendaheights.org/blog/post/small-groups-for-the-fall We are excited to announce our FBC Small Groups for the fall!

Small Groups are a useful tool in the life of the church, growing us in our knowledge of the truth, deepening our relationships through prayer, and expanding our fellowship with fellow members.

We are planning to study a new book: How The Nations Rage: Rethinking Faith and Politics in a Divided Age by Jonathan Leeman. This is an incredibly helpful book to help us as Christians think about politics and society through a biblical lens.

We hope that this will assist us in pursuing greater faithfulness as individuals and greater unity as a church. More details to come as to groups, days and times. Look for sign-ups as well this week.
