FBCHH Evening Service for Sunday, August 2nd

StreetSigns

WHAT:  We will be having an outdoor evening service this Sunday evening (August 2nd).  Because of this, WE WILL NOT BE HAVING OUR NORMAL MORNING SERVICE OR LIVESTREAM THIS WEEK.

WHERE:  Our first outdoor evening service will be at a different location:  Hacienda Heights Baptist Church at 2100 S Stimson Ave, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745, also known as "HHBC."   HHBC has given us permission to meet on their property lawn, and it should give us room to spread out in a more socially distant capacity than our own property.

WHEN:  5:30 - 6:30 PM:  We are planning for the service to be about an hour.  The service will include the Lord's Supper (taken with individual prepackaged packets of communion elements).

Here are a few things to keep in mind for this service as we plan to love our neighbors at this gathering.

Face Masks:  We are asking all attendees to wear face masks in keeping with LA county health regulations.  Please bring your own facemask, including children at the discretion of parents (ages 7 and up at least).

Social Distance:  We are asking individuals/families to keep social distance of six feet at our gathering.  Please work to keep an appropriate social distance from other individuals/families, even if you don't think it is necessary.  While meeting outdoors greatly reduces the risk of virus transmission, we want to proceed with an abundance of caution.

Temperature Checks:  We will have a check-in table that we are asking all attendees to go through.  At this table, we will be taking temperatures.  If you know you have a fever or any symptoms of sickness, please refrain from coming.  Anyone who displays a temperature above normal will be asked to return home and not stay for the service.  If you have been around others who have tested positive for the virus, we ask you to self-quarantine for the recommended period of time, and gather with us in the future.

Seating:  We will be meeting on a lawn, so please plan to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets so that you will be comfortable.  The lawn is next to the parking lot, and people who have health concerns are welcome to remain in their cars for the service.  Certain parking spaces are reserved for such people. Please talk to the elders ASAP if this is something you desire.  We have purchased an outdoor sound system that should project well.

Plan to be in the sun as well, bringing water, sunscreen, and even an umbrella if you would like.  The temperature should reach a high of 93º on Sunday. Please drink a lot of water beforehand and take other preparatory measures you need. Since we'll be in a field, you may want to bring bug spray. Those allergic to grass should be able to easily find a place to put your chair along the field.
